As some may have noticed, I went ahead with the name change. Velvetnlace is a handle that served me well for over a decade, but the past several months have been a time of reinvention for me, and in a way I need to start over. Pulling the trigger on the name change was incredibly liberating in a way I had not expected. Similarly, I'm creating a new 'sona. Still hung up on some of the details, but I look forward to bringing her to life. This morning I posted the first proper painting I'd done in three years. I'm still trying to get the hang of Clip Studio Paint, but it's been instrumental in getting me back into the swing of things. I still can't promise much in the way of artistic consistency, but I really enjoyed painting again and I would like to keep doing so. We'll see what happens! It's nice to feel a bit more optimistic about the future.
